No Words Wednesday; but Winter Grilling!

Well I know this is No Words Wednesday but I can break with protocol if I wanna! It's my blog and I'll do what I wanna, do what I wanna....oh ok....nevermind! I just wanted to say that just because we're in the heart of the winter doesn't mean you can't grill. That's why I love my indoor panini press and my George Foreman grill so that when I crave grilled shrimp kabobs, I don't have to wait till summer!

I just buy some jumbo shrimp, deveined and skins removed and then I salt, lemon pepper them. I may add a bit of a kick with chili powder or red pepper flakes too. Then, I preheat the grill (which usually just means turning it on and waiting for the green button to come on!), put the shrimp through the kabobs (oh don't forget to soak the kabobs for about 30 minutes beforehand in water so they don't burn on the grill.). Then grill the shrimp a few minutes on each side till done and drizzle some fresh lemon juice and sprinkle some parsley on top. Serve with pasta on the side! YUMMO! Happy Grillin'!

I agree, just because it's winter, who says you can't grill? :) It gets one through a dreary winter with promises (or memories) of summer. I'm planning on grilling steaks this evening!

These look really good! We use our grill year round. (It's a gas grill, not as good as good ole charcoal, but it does the job.)
