
There's been so many times that I had made up my mind to lose weight, change my diet, and exercise more, but I failed to meet my goal each time. I think the only way you change something is when you get absolutely fed up with it and then something great happens. It's not like I'm 300 pounds over, but nevertheless we all know when we're overweight for our build and height. And, this is more of me just wanting to feel healthy inside my body. I want to find my ideal weight so that I feel good about myself in public and have more energy.
This time I'm not trying all these diet programs that I once did. No, I'm following a new lifestyle of eating the right foods, limiting my salt intake but not starving myself, and not eating grapefruit everyday which I hate! It's also about proper exercise, sleep, and making sure my emotions are ok as well. My ultimate goal is to lose 50 pounds and since it took time to put on this weight, I want to be sure to give myself enough time to take it off and keep it off so that's why I call this my 90-day journey to living and eating healthy.
I hope that I'll inspire you and your family as I go through my new journey. I know I'll have to be very careful throughout this process that I don't use certain words or phrases like "trial", "ordeal", "fat", "I can't do it...", you get where I'm going. Words are powerful. The Bible says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life]." {Proverbs 18:21 AMP}. You have to be careful what you say and what you tell yourself too. I have had a bad habit of calling myself fat, overweight, ugly, etc. I might feel that way inside, but I need to encourage myself that I can be healthy, look better, and feel better. I know my journey at times may be hard and I may feel like giving up, but I hope that by sharing this with you that it will help me to continue until I get to the end. Soooo...to also assist me, I'll be sharing nutritional tidbits, my feelings and emotions, as well as my weekly routine. And, don't worry...recipes as well.
